Alena Lorencová studied violin with Iva Kramperova at the Conservatory of Pardubice and graduated with honors in 2012. Mentored by Czech violin virtuoso Cenek Pavlik during the International Violin Summer School in Litomysl, Czech Republic, Alena participated in many national and international competitions.
Combining modern pedagogical with traditional Czech methods, Alena customizes her teaching methods based on her student’s characteristics. Some of her students have garnered top prizes at the National competition of Music School of Czech Republic and International competition of Vaclav Krucek. For the past three years she was also teaching in Prague at the school for blind children.
Very much an active musician, Alena concertizes with various chamber ensembles and orchestras in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Italy and France. She was a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Nové Město nad Metují.
Alena Lorencová is currently teaching Violin and Chamber Music at Tanglewood Music School.
