the respective instruments. The School provides uncompromising lessons directing at enabling students to perform locally and
overseas.
Lessons are taught through a one-to-one session for undistracted interaction and exchange between teacher and student.
Performances are held regularly for students to improve their skills and confidence. Students are selected to play under the in-house
groups, namely, the Tanglewood Orchestra, Violin Ensemble, and Guitar Ensemble, to gain local and overseas performance exposure.
Interestingly, students get to perform with their teachers!
The school prides itself on achieving 100% passes in the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) examinations every
year. In addition, many high scorers have been produced over the recent years and the Most Impressive achievement with our
youngest candidate on Cello Grade 5 examination at 6 years old.
Simply, Tanglewood Music School prides itself on passionate teachers for students with passion and love for music.
Charity at Tanglewood
Music heals the soul, and Tanglewood Music School prides itself on delivering performances of the best quality to further this cause. Our school supports several organisations including the National Cancer Centre of Singapore, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and KK Hospital and regularly holds charity performances for the beneficiaries of these organisations. In addaddition, proceeds from our in-house recitalsand annual gala performance are donated to our charity of choice, to further celebrate music as a way to improve the lives of the needy.
On 2017, we rendered a two-date performances for KKH – Children and Womens Ward and National Cancer Centre. Special thanks for the partiipation of our Teacher and Student-Volunteers, who dedicated their passion and talent in bringing forth joy in this cause.
